גדולים במדים. Great in Uniform. Forever. 🇮🇱

Watch this and try not to cry. 🇮🇱💙

“These soldiers are no different. They stand tall, smiling, cooperating with each other, but most importantly they are proud to officially become soldiers in the IDF.”

Today hundreds of young men and women with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, blindness, deafness, and other disabilities stood on an IDF base and received their berets.
Through the גדולים במדים (Gedolim b’Madim, “Great in Uniform” / Special in Uniform) program, they fought for the right to wear the same uniform as every other Israeli.

They sort equipment, prepare kits for combat soldiers, fold parachutes, work in kitchens, and serve with joy on bases across the country.
They insisted: “If Israel protects us, we want to protect Israel.”
One mother wept during the ceremony: “When he was born, I couldn’t dream that he’ll go to the army. Today he is just like my other children.”

Israel is the ONLY army in the world that integrates soldiers with special needs, not as a symbol, but as real contributors who break barriers and refuse to be “served.”
They turned what the world calls disability into super-ability.
They dream bigger than most of us ever dare.

M e a n w h i l e . . . .

this very month, tens of thousands of ultra-Orthodox protesters blocked highways in Jerusalem and Bnei Brak, burned tires, threw stones at police, and rioted for days, screaming against the mere idea that they should share even 1% of this sacred burden.

One group begs, cries, and overcomes every obstacle just to be allowed to serve.
The other group shuts down the country to avoid it.

“Not all heroes wear capes, but all heroes definitely have an amazing heart.”

These are the real heroes of Israel.
These are the ones who make us proud to be Jewish.

גדולים במדים. Great in Uniform. Forever. 🇮🇱💙
